I learned how to knit when I was 8-year-old. I wanted to knit clothes for my dolls, and my mother gave me needles and some yarns. I enjoy making toys, especially stuffed small animals.

My sister, Jackie, was always fascinated with people using pottery wheels. She likes the clay’s softness and malleability. The clay doesn’t always do what the potter wants. Finding the balance between her hands and clay’s plasticity is almost a Zen moment to her.Â
