Description

This bracelet was a challenging but rewarding project, inspired by the spirit of the West and a cherished family tradition. Created for the “Traces of the West” exhibit, it honors my father, who competed in rodeos during his youth. Growing up, attending the 4th of July rodeo was a beloved family ritual.

Crafted from rich copper, this bracelet is a size large, measuring approximately 7 inches in length when stretched out, and 1.5 inches wide. The 16-gauge copper provides a sturdy yet comfortable fit.

The standout feature of this piece is the trio of hand-cut brass rodeo athletes adorning the bracelet: a bull rider, a barrel racer at the center, and a bronc rider. Each figure was meticulously cut by hand, capturing the dynamic energy and rugged charm of rodeo life.

Beyond its striking design, copper is celebrated for its healing properties, believed to help reduce inflammation and soothe joint pain—making this bracelet as meaningful as it is beautiful.

About The Red Den

I love jewelry. I think I inherited that love from my mom. Picking the right earrings, necklace, etc. can dress up or dress down an outfit. It can increase your confidence. It can express your personality. And overall, it can just make you feel great.

I love metalsmithing. It is incredible to take some silver or copper and transform it into something unique. I make pieces that bring out the natural beauty in the stones I use, and I also make pieces that incorporate design to express people’s hobbies and passions. An example of one of these pieces is the triathlon inspired bracelet that I made for myself before competing in a full distance ironman.

Happy shopping.
