Description

Wow. This was a difficult project, but the finished bracelet is incredible. I made this for a “Traces of the West” exhibit. My father competed in rodeos when he was younger. Growing up, we always went to a rodeo on the 4th of July.

This bracelet is made from copper. It is what I consider a size large in the bracelets I make. If stretched out, it would measure 7 inches. It is 1.5 inches wide and made from 16 gauge copper.

The rodeo athletes are made from brass. The bracelet begins with a bull rider, the center figure is a barrel racer, and the final figure is a bronc rider. Each of these athletes have been hand cut by me.

Copper is said to have many healing properties. It is believed to reduce inflammation and joint pain.

About The Red Den

I love jewelry. I think I inherited that love from my mom. Picking the right earrings, necklace, etc. can dress up or dress down an outfit. It can increase your confidence. It can express your personality. And overall, it can just make you feel great.

I love metalsmithing. It is incredible to take some silver or copper and transform it into something unique. I make pieces that bring out the natural beauty in the stones I use, and I also make pieces that incorporate design to express people’s hobbies and passions. An example of one of these pieces is the triathlon inspired bracelet that I made for myself before competing in a full distance ironman.

Happy shopping.
