Description

New Wildenberc beetle kill pine end table “Bölzelȋn” is made entirely of Colorado beetle kill, with inlays on table, leg, and base. Beetle holes are filled with resin, surface is smooth. Table is 18″ high, 17″ wide.

My mission with this and related pieces is to showcase the beauty of beetle kill pine, and to make the best possible use of it through the thoughtful arrangement of its natural patterns and the use of inlays. Millions of acres of forest have fallen to the mountain pine beetle. This table commemorates this ecological disaster and makes artistic and functional use of its results.
