Description
Handcrafted basic tools needed for loading any muzzleloader black powder rifle, musket or pistol.
The shot bottle is hand stitched of heavy leather with a wooden stopper. It measures 4 1/2″ wide at the widest part and 4 1/2″ tall. The opening is approximately 1″ so it can hold about any caliber lead round ball.
The short starter hammer head was turned on the wood lathe out of orange osage and the handle has a brass tip. Both have been secured in place with a brass brad. Total length is 7″.

I have a masters degree in art and worked as a professional artist/craftsman for over 50 years in another media. Now semi-retired, I am pursuing my interests in traditional archery and black powder muzzle loaders, attending rendezvous and reenactments. I have worked in leather since I was a teen, and carved wood as long, so it was only natural that I find it interesting to make items for my hobbies… I just make more than I can use myself!
