Defined in 1687 by astronomer Johannes Hevelius, Lacerta (the lizard) is the 68th of the 88 officially recognized constellations in terms of size. It’s five main stars from a “W” shape, this causing this faint  lizard to sometimes be referred to as “Little Cassiopeia”. Lacerta resides in the northern hemisphere, with it’s northern border laying on the Milky Way.
