We have been making shirts since 2008.  Shoulder Shirts™ were developed for my mother for her to have an easy way to dress independently after her shoulder surgery and she wanted something more fashionable than altered t-shirts that didn’t her fit well.  My mother found our hook and loop closures (velcro like) are the easiest way to be able to fasten your shirt with one hand. (Our custom made Shoulder Shirts™ are specifically designed so the hook and loop closures do not touch your skin and are not scratchy.)  She found snaps worked great in our designs where gravity held them in place on the sides of the shirts, but when on the shoulders, snaps were difficult to fasten with one hand.

This style of shirt has a “V” neck and opens at both shoulders with hook and loop fasteners (Velcro like) for ease in dressing (or nursing) and has drop sleeves that do not require fastening. Each Shoulder Shirt comes with a ribbon designed to pull up the back shoulder into position for fastening the shirt. (See pictures for examples of how the shirts work.)

The shirts tend to run big to accommodate immobilizers and slings and I have included the approximate measurements. I do not recommend ordering the next size larger than your normally wear without checking our measurement/sizing chart first.

Fabric: Cotton woven fabric. This is a wonderful medium weight woven cotton fabric. (Please note that woven fabrics do not stretch) Perfect for recuperating in around the house or going to medical or physical therapy appointments. (PTs love our shirts with their easy access for treatment.) Breastfeeding moms also love the easy access for nursing.
