This style of nightgown opens at both shoulders with hook and loop closures (Velcro like) for ease in dressing (or nursing) and drop sleeves that do not require fastening. This style has a “V” neck and opens at both shoulders with hook and loop fasteners (Velcro like) for ease in dressing (or nursing). Each Shoulder Shirt™ comes with a ribbon designed to pull up the back shoulder into position for fastening the shirt/gown. (See pictures for examples of how the shirts work.) Designed to be able to wear with shoulder immobilizer. The gowns are machine washable.

Shoulder Shirts™ tend to run big to accommodate immobilizers and slings and I have included the approximate measurements. I do not recommend ordering the next size larger than your normally wear without checking our size/measurement chart first.

PLEASE SEE OUR SIZE CHART. (Last picture)

This gown is loose and comfy is wonderful for someone after surgery when you can’t wear a bra. It is great for recuperating at home. It would be perfect for breastfeeding with its easy access for nursing.  Most of the Erin gowns are made from 100% woven cotton fabric.  Please note that the woven fabrics will not stretch like the knit fabrics.

Style: Orgetta

About Shoulder Shirts

Shoulder Shirts™ help people with limited arm movement.

Shoulder Shirts™ got their beginning when my mother had rotator cuff surgery and I made her some shirts that released at the shoulders with hook and loop fasteners (velcro like). Her physical therapist was so impressed he requested that I make them to sell for his patients.

My mother taught me to sew and I have been sewing for over 30 years now. I received training from my friend and mentor, Josie, a professional seamstress from Malta. She taught me to visualize and to “think about it” when I was creating and sewing. These shirts are specifically designed and created with care and love.

All shirts are sewn individually by me or local seamstresses. (I have several local seamstresses that help me out and they have been a blessing as the need has increased for our shirts.)

We love creating something that will make your life better at a time when things seem overwhelming. We hope that your shirts will make things just a little bit easier in your life right now. Thank you and welcome to Shoulder Shirts™!!!
