This owl is hand crocheted with recycled polypropylene twine and stuffed with single use plastic bags and bottle caps for a sustainable, durable, unique alternative to conventional seasonal decor. A standout at 11″ tall, it has a hanging loop and is a great statement piece indoors or out!
At Plastics Made Pretty, I strive to create truly unique pieces from materials that are considered waste and would otherwise be discarded. I want to craft a sustainable option for household decor and accessories than what is typically found.
I mostly utilize single use plastics because we all know that our recycling programs fall short of their intent. This Owl uses polypropylene twine that was initially used to tie hay bales together.
