Plarn is yarn made from single use plastics. It is worked just like yarn, but creates a sturdier, more durable product that is easy to clean and doesn’t absorb odors. Each plarn bag I craft diverts approximately 60 standard plastic grocery bags from the possibility of ending in a landfill.

At Plastics Made Pretty, I strive to create truly unique pieces from materials that are considered waste and would otherwise be discarded. I want to craft a sustainable option for household decor and accessories than what is typically found.
I mostly utilize single use plastics because we all know that our recycling programs fall short of their intent. This forever balloon utilizes bags from produce, bread, dry cleaners, grocery stores, etc.
