How did this come about? By accident mostly. I wanted to make an abstract painting, not my forte. As most people do, I went on YouTube. Ok, doesn’t look that difficult. After alot of trial and error, I figured out a technique that I liked. Ordered 20×20 canvasses and got 2×2, so I made pins. I have no control over how the paints flow, no two are the same, even if I try to replicate color palette, its always something new. I have given quite a few away to those who have remarked on their uniqueness. They will often tell me what they see in them-most of the time I can’t see what they see, but that’s ok. Â
The artistic side consists of watercolor, charcoal, acrylic, ink…and like most creative people, I try different things, some work others do not. I embrace the failures. I also spin wool (I don’t knit) and have made rag rugs on my mom’s Newcomb loom.
I hope you enjoy these pins as much as I have making them.Â
