Yellow and Blue Traditional Chintz Fabric Door or Wall Wreath

This fabric pattern is traditional BUT it stands out because of its absolutely striking beauty! The yellow is so rich and powerful coupled with the beautiful hues of blue chintz florals dancing around this wreath design. It’s quite stunning, if I say so myself, which I do!  

Growing up, Mom designed our home in a LOT of that old blue and white Pennsylvania Dutch look. The drapes! Gracious! So when I saw this, I was impressed with the yellow background instead of the white.. the florals on this yellow POP. The blues are gorgeous….subtle changes of two blues..one lighter and the other almost royal. Gosh, I think I’m in love with this pattern!

The ribbons I carefully select match and coordinate very well. They vary widely! Widths, texture, pattern. I have used blue and white gingham, blue satins in navy, sky blue and baby blue. There are yellows in linen, satin, grosgrain with ruffled edges and plain. There is yellow gingham solid and a soft another kind of ruffled edge. The widths are for. 3/8” to 1” and they add everything to this wreath design!

Use this wreath on your front door to greet family and friends. Use it on your office door or wall…what a great conversation starter! Use it as a centerpiece for your all girls luncheon by laying flat and adding a glass hurricane in the center. Add flowers or a candle and you’ll have a one of a kind centerpiece!

For this wreath, I am in the process of my son getting married and we are putting on a rehearsal dinner that has taken on a life of its own. The “kids” are going to France for their honeymoon so I decided to do a country French decor theme! This reminded me of the colors I am using for this way too extravagant party!
