it has several strands of seed beads brainded into a beautiful necklace. it is 17 inches long not including the extender chain and clasp. it is a nice solid piece that would replace any string of pearls leaving you to be very unique. there is absouloutly no signs of wear or tear, this was obviously treasured and sved for special occasions. findings are a silver tone
