Description

This dress made by Ambria in the richest burgundy wine color is 100% silk with a luxurious feel and beautifully drapes on the body. It has a versatile collar that can be worn buttoned up around the neck, or as an open wing collar if you prefer. The long straight skirt in a midi length with a back vent has a slimming effect that seems to add height to the silhouette. There are soft, thin shoulder pads that give definition to the dolman sleeves and a two-button double layer cuff. The top has a concealed button placket with two breast pockets. Also, two side seam pockets on the skirt. There is a fabric sash that can be worn as a belt or toss it on as a scarf.

I have added a separate contrasting belt, sold in another listing and not included for sale with this dress, just to show another look.

The dress is size 6 but has very generous proportions; the approximate measurements are – bust 38-42″, waist 32″, shoulders 25″, length waist-hem 31″ and shoulder-hem 46″.  In very nice condition from the late 1980s. The front of the dress around the stitched waist shows a very slight bit of fading that would be concealed under a belt. Noted in one of the photos.
