Black Howlite may be a dyed mineral, but I have quickly fallen in love with its reassuring and reconciling properties. Unlike other protective stones such as Obsidian and Black Tourmaline that have a tendency to be quite ferociously defensive, the serene tone of the Howlite really gives this stone more of a comforting guardian kind of vibe… like falling into the arms of someone you cherish at the end of a trying day. And I think the reason it feels like such a familiar custodian is because it is reflecting back that element from within; the fearless confidante who has sworn an oath to never leave our side.
Maybe for whatever reason, you stopped being there for yourself when you needed your own protection the most.
