Description

On my business card I made a logo called Sugar Bug. She is a cross between a bug and a fairy. I decided after 15 years, to start drawing her and more and using her. In the little scene I embroidered she is flying in the flowers and looking at a bee. Some of the embroidery is called shadow embroidery. I did hand beading for her magic dust. Size one and two you can have the magic dust embroidered with silver color thread. The Fabrics used are, Cotton Voile, White Imperial Batiste. Eyelet shoulder ruffles and side ties. The ruffles are edged in more gathered ruffles and the ends of the ties. too. The pockets, I designed and embroidered also with some shadow embroidery. The pockets are lined and accented with eyelet edging. The bodice is lined.  The skirt has a machine embroidered boarder. This comes in sizes 1,2,3,or 4. The one shown is a size 3.

About Sugar Bug Baby Boutique Two

Hi. My name is Jeanette. I learned to sew by hand, even making my own doll dress patterns. By the time I turned 8 years old I was allowed to sew on the sewing machine. I also do hand embroidery, smocking, heirloom and French hand sewing. My husband and I moved to a farm in Oregon and raised two sons and many farm animals. I owned and operated a grooming shop for 25 years. But my love has always been sewing and needlework. I generally sew most days a week. I really enjoy sewing for babies, toddlers and girls up to size 6.
