Late Summer and Fall drought 2022 Harvest of Nectar collected from flowers in Bergen county.  New Jersey Raw Local Honey, unfiltered, and unheated.  This honey contains local pollen.  Offered in a 12 ounce PET plastic jar.

 

Made by New Ark honeybees located in Cresskill, Montclair Heights, and Troy Meadows, NJ.

 

This honey was harvested in September, 2022, after one of the hottest and driest summers on record.  This honey is darker than usual, with a ruby red coloration when held up to the light.  Less sweet than the early Summer crop, this honey reminds some of smokey aged cognac.

 

Nectar sources from Summer through Fall in North New Jersey are: Goldenrod, Aster, JoePye Weed, Boneset, Japanese Knotweed, Smartweed, Chinese Lantern Fly Honeydew

 

The foraging radius for these honeybees include these towns and parks in Morris, Essex, and Passaic counties: Troy Hills, Parsippany, Lake Hiawatha, Pinebrook, West Essex Park, Fairfield, he western edge of Livingston, Hanover, and East Hanover, Cedar Knolls, Whippany, Montclair, West Patterson, Woodland Park, Little Falls, Verona, Cedar Grove, North Caldwell, West Orange, Glen Ridge, Bloomfield, Nutley, the greenways along the Garden State Parkway.
