Description
The Martin Wallet is built to outlive you.
Handcrafted from raw hide to finished piece by Martin Leather Company in Portland, Oregon, this two-tone slim bifold is the exact antithesis of cheap, mass-produced fast fashion. It is designed to sit comfortably in your front pocket, eliminating the bulk of a traditional wallet while providing a lifetime of rugged durability.
The Artisan Difference: Hand-Stitched to Last
Most “handmade” wallets on major platforms today are rapidly zipped through industrial sewing machines using cheap plastic threads. The Martin Wallet is meticulously stitched entirely by hand using the traditional saddle-stitch method.
-
- The Technique: Every single hole is manually pierced with a pricking iron, and sewn using two needles on a single piece of heavy-duty, waxed blue thread.
- The Durability: If a machine stitch breaks, the entire seam unravels. If a hand-saddle stitch breaks, the remaining stitches stay locked firmly in place. This wallet will never land in a landfill due to broken threads.
Premium Materials & Dynamic Look
We combine rugged blue water buffalo leather with classic black vegetable-tanned leather.
-
- Water Buffalo vs. Cowhide: Water buffalo leather is famed for its deep, distinct natural grain and exceptional tensile strength. It is remarkably supple yet highly resistant to tearing and abrasion.
- Striking Pull-Up Effect: The premium blue leather shifts and lightens beautifully when flexed, creating a dynamic, rugged look that evolves with use.
- The Patina: This is a living material. Your daily carry, skin oils, and sunlight will naturally darken and burnish the edges over time, transforming it into a personalized masterpiece unique to your journey.

Heritage Leather Care Guide
-
- Embrace the Patina: Natural scuffs, grain variations, and darkening are normal, beautiful characteristics of full-grain leather.
- Keep it Dry: If it gets wet, gently blot with a soft cloth and let air-dry naturally. Never use direct heat sources like a hairdryer.
- Condition Periodically: Apply a high-quality, natural leather balm every 6–12 months to maintain flexibility.
- Do Not Overstuff: Premium leather stretches but does not shrink back. Keep it slim by carrying only your essentials.
Please note: Because each wallet is completely handcrafted in our Oregon workshop, minor natural markings, grain patterns, and color variations may occur, making your piece entirely one-of-a-kind.
