Description
Pure hand hammered copper herb leaf stripper. Seven different size holes fit most herb and spice stems allowing you to easy remove the leaves for cooking, salads, and garnishes. The curved shape forms a bowl to collect the leaves. I design my herb stripper so it looks like a leaf and the beautiful copper color will bring beauty and good energy to every kitchen. The leaf shape of each is unique as I use reclaimed copper sheets of odd sizes and shapes. Some end up looking like a birch leaf and others like a elm. Then again it might look like a lime or plum leaf. The copper tell me the shape it wishes to be.
Each one is made to order. The size is about 5.5″ x 3″. The holes range in size. The large hole will strip leaves from large plants such as Kale and the small hole works perfect with rosemary and thyme. The holes in-between lets you quickly prepare almost any herb or spice. The hole sizes are 1/16″, 1/8″, 3/16″, 1/4″ 5/16″ 3/8″ & 7/16″. Sometimes I get copper sheets that are not standard size and I end up with extra copper when I’m done cutting them out. When this happens, I will make them larger so I don’t waste the copper. So, if you leaf stripper comes bigger, it’s your lucky day.
Copper is unique in its anti-bactrical properties. With in two hours 99.9% of the germs on copper are dead, including E.coli and salmonella and listeria. Copper also conducts, transfers and focus energy. It was the first metal man learned to form thousands of years ago. Many believe that using copper to cook with removes harmful EMF radiation from our food improving health benefits.
I only use pure repurposed / recycled solid copper sheets to create with. The copper for the leaf stripper is thick gauge copper. I hand hammer each piece using my grandfathers hammers. I send this to you without any chemical treatment or modern finishing so the natural patina of copper can develop it rich beautiful color. Each piece is unique. The recycle copper I use comes with its own signature of marks and scratches. I remove most of them but leave a few to retain its original identity.
Copper is the traditional gift for a 7th wedding anniversary. Copper will last lifetimes. You will enjoy this for years to come and will pass it on for generation.
I make everything by hand, using 100 year old tools passed down to me and techniques from old. I form copper in my little work shop on top of a hill bending and hammering on an old tree stump.
I am happy to take custom orders. I can craft bowls, boxes, knife, spoons and other kitchen instruments.
I look forward to making something special and beautiful for you. Click to order now.
