Heart Pine Pencil
The wood used in turning the barrels for this handcrafted pencil has a story. My family bought our farm in 1902. The heart pine lumber used here was in one of the original buildings, so it is well over 120 years old, most likely dating back into the 1800’s.
I like the warm mellow glow that this wood has. I have been unable to duplicate that look on newer pine.
The top of the pencil pulls off to access the eraser and refill the lead. It uses the standard 0.7mm lead. The barrels are heart pine lumber with gold accessories.
