Description

This hardwood coffee pour over station has four cup positions. The coffee pour over station comes with four ceramic funnels and four plastic drip trays. The ceramic funnels manufacturer recommends a #2 size paper filter. There is enough space to fit a large size mug ( 6″ inch tall mug) between the bottom shelf and the bottom shelf. Size of the items is 21.5″ wide, 9″ tall and 5.75″ deep. The wood used is walnut and cherry hardwood and is finished with butcher block oil.

The pour station is construction from natural wood, and therefore have variations in the wood grain and will not be an exact match to the listing photographs. Also, woods such as cherry will darken over time. Changes in humidity will also affect wood and cause the wood grain to move. It is advised to keep the coffee pour over station indoors and in a place where the temperature and humidity is stable.

The finish applied to the pour over station is mineral oil or called butcher block oil. This finish will help to protect the wood, but does not make the wood waterproof. When caring for the pour over station a dampened towel can be used to wipe down the surface. Depending on use, butcher block conditioner (a combination of mineral oil and bees wax) should be applied liberally, allowed to sit for an hour, then wipe off the excess with a paper towel. Walnut and Cherry are hardwoods, and are better at resisting denting and scratching than softwoods, like pines, but will be scratched and dented with rough treatment.

Personalization is available for this item, which is done with a laser engraving machine. Initials will be laser engraved on the top shelf of the station, and inscriptions will be engraved on the bottom shelf. Once the engraving has been completed the station will be glued up and finished with butcher block oil, which is why the station has an extent shipping processing time.

About Mind Your Business Woodworking

I have always enjoyed making things with wood, from the time I was a small kid. I would borrow my Dad’s tools and construct crude boxes. I upped my game in Junior High when I took wood shop and built my first nice piece of furniture, a rifle rack, which my Dad still uses to this day. After I had started my law enforcement career in 1998, started buying hand tools and created a lot of sawdust for awhile without really producing anything that didn’t wow anybody. After moving into a home with an attached garage, I quickly took over half of the garage and got a Craftsman miter saw, then a used Craftsman contractors table saw. I did some 2×4 garden benches for friends, some framed items for my wife. Over the years I made retirement boxes for guys I worked with as they retired. When I got within a year of my retirement, I figured I better find the next thing to do and saw my woodworking as an opportunity. A few months before I retired in June of 2022, I got my first laser engraver. Somewhere in this time frame someone suggested that I sale my products on Etsy. Well, a year later I took the leap of faith and created my Etsy shop offer my products. I soon learned that it would be a good idea to branch out and found My Community Made. I found My Community Made to be more in line with my small boutique wood shop. Doing the Ecommerce thing has been the learning adventure.  Oh, and the name Mind Your Business comes from the first currency offered by the Continental Congress and Ben Franklin. The Continental Dollar had a rising sun and sun dial on its face, along with “fugio” and “Mind Your Business”, which was to means “time flies, so mind your business.”
