Painting Technique

Acrylic paint pouring, also know as fluid or flow art, is the painting technique used to produce this functional work of art. The beautiful abstract design is produced by combining navy blue, powder blue, and iridescent white acrylic paints. For this piece each paint color is poured onto the vase separately while minimizing blending. By layering the colors on top of each other at different intervals it allows for the creation of such a unique design.

Epoxy Resin

Epoxy resin is used to seal this functional work of art. It produces a high shine, ultra-glossy protective varnish on the piece. Resin is durable and long lasting. Under normal circumstances fully cured resin does not break easily. The resin used on this piece contains a UV stabilizer. The UV stabilizer protects against several issues including chalking, cracking and luster loss. This protective coating will help ensure your ability to enjoy your unique piece of functional art for years to come.

Upcycled Art

Upcycled art is a great way to reduce waste and promote sustainability. It utilizes materials that would have otherwise been thrown away and helps protect the environment. The vases I use are a combination of ones people were discarding and ones I purchased from a nonprofit organization’s thrift shop. By purchasing vases from nonprofits, it helps support individual charities and allows them to continue providing much needed public services to those most in need of assistance. All vases are thoroughly inspected to ensure they are in good condition whether they are purchased from a charitable organization’s thrift shop or donated. Once inspected each vase is carefully cleaned and sanitized before being painted.

Delivery

All items in my shop are ready to ship via USPS. Once you place an order, I can send out your purchase within one to three business days. Each order is securely packaged to help protect against breakage during transport.

Return Policy

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase once it arrives you can return it. All returns must be made within thirty days of purchase. The buyer is responsible for the return shipping cost and any loss in value if an item is not returned in its original condition.
