A friend of mine recently had a new baby. Her two year old daughter was less than enthused about the baby, until she was given a new baby doll and a special blanket. The toddler would wrap her doll up, rock her, feed her and lay down to sleep while Mom did the same with her new infant. That gave me the idea for this afghan. This granny square design afghan was worked in Baby Sport yarn so the squares are smaller. The entire blanket measures 24″ x 24″ making it the perfect size for snuggling up a favorite doll or stuffed animal. It has a small ruffled edge and is made in teal, yellow, white and variegated yarn so it is gender neutral. This afghan will be your toddlers favorite doll blanket!
Love this idea but want different colors? Send me a message and we can create the perfect blanket! I will need time to create it, so please keep that in mind when ordering. Most projects need a 2-4 week time frame to make.
The afghan was made in Bernat Baby Sport weight yarn so it is very easy to care for. Simply machine wash, cold, on gentle cycle and tumble dry low/no heat.
