About Naturalisms
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my work. I am a visually impaired silversmith based in East Tennessee, not far from Chattanooga. Although I’ve only been working with silver for a few years, I’ve always been an artist in one capacity or another. As a child I learned how to sketch from my grandfather who was an artist, sign painter and, who his family believes, was the inventor of the first bottle jack. He was a pretty amazing guy.
Although I create many mixed metal pieces I love working with silver because it’s such a versatile material. My pieces tend to be more rustic in style with a little spirituality mixed in. My work has evolved into more of a wearable art form that is heavily inspired by nature rather than a line of fine jewelry. I love the organic shapes and textures of the natural world, and I strive to capture those elements in my work.
If you’re interested in learning more about silversmithing, or if you’re looking for a custom piece of jewelry, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I would love to work with you to create something special.
