Poseidon was smitten with her when he saw her dance on the Isle of Naxos, but wishing to protect her virtue, she fled to the Atlas Mountains. Poseidon sent a slew of sea creatures to find her, and it was eventually the dolphin who located Amphitrite in her mountain refuge, and convinced her to return and wed the God of the Sea. As a reward, Poseidon placed the dolphin in the heavens, creating the Delphinus Constellation. Amphitrite is known as the wife of Poseidon, Queen of the Sea and Salt Water. This is a one of a kind statement piece.

The Amphitrite features 8mm lapis lazuli, 8mm marine agate, 4mm hematite, 8mm blue/clear glass rondelles, 8mm burnished brown glass rondelles, 6mm teal freshwater pearls, 6mm lilac glass pearls, seashells, gold tone & teal metal accents and ab czech glass seeds. The focal piece is hand wired on 18g raw copper wire with hand wired charms (there are no jump rings on the wire art piece). The upper necklace is strung on very fine coated steel jewelry wire with a silver tone lobster clasp, with a 4″ silver tone chain extender. The chain is finished with a hand cut lapis & glass wire charm. The unextended necklace measures 12″ full drop length with a 9″ neck length. The extender chain can be shortened or removed on request if you prefer.
