   Made of southern hard pine. The same timber used in flooring, floor and ceiling joists as well as load bearing beams, etc. due to it’s strength and durability. Hard pine is comparable to red oak in strength. Antique pine barnwood is hard pine which is a testament to it’s durability. It has beautiful grain patterns not found in other pines. They are turned by hand with chisels and without a pattern. By eye and not by an industrial copy lathe. This makes them truly one of a kind, authentic hand made turnings that will add value to your table at the end of the day. They are not exact duplicates, but to tell the difference you would need calipers. They work as well with barn or reclaimed wood as they do with new wood. They are perfect for antique reproductions.
