How to Order Your Illuminated Etched Ultrasound

Thank you for choosing us to preserve your special memory! Follow these simple steps to place your order and ensure your custom etched piece turns out beautifully.

Step 1: Place Your Order through mycommunitymade.com cart. Keep your Order Number handy for the next step.

Step 2: Choose Your Photo (Timing Matters!) Find the ultrasound photo you want to use. Tip for best results: Look for high-contrast images. Ultrasounds in the early part of pregnancy (typically from around 8 to 20 weeks) produce the absolute best etched images because they feature the sharpest, most defined outlines. Step 3: Check Image Clarity The clearer the image you send, the better your final etched product will look. A high-resolution digital scan or file is best, but if you are taking a photo of a physical printout with your phone, please ensure: There are no glares, reflections, or harsh shadows on the paper. You hold the camera straight and flat directly over the image (not at an angle). The image is in sharp focus with no blur.

Step 4: Specify Text Preferences (Crucial Step!) Ultrasound prints often have a lot of overlay data automatically written on them by the medical equipment. Please tell us exactly how you want us to handle the text on your picture: What to include: Let us know if you want us to keep meaningful text that is already on the picture, such as family names, dates, or the clinic/hospital location. What to remove: Let us know if you want us to crop or edit out technical information you don’t want displayed on your art, such as medical record numbers, machine frequencies, or patient IDs. Custom Text: If you would prefer us to remove all original machine text and instead add a beautifully typed custom name, date, or quote, please type it exactly as you want it to appear.

Step 5: Submit Your Image & Instructions Reply directly to your order confirmation email, or email us at rootedlegacycrafts@gmail.com. Put your Order Number and/or name in the subject line. Attach your photo. Include your text notes from Step 4 in the body of the email. Please Note: Because we custom-etch the lines of the photo you provide, the final product’s detail depends entirely on the clarity of your submission. The final etching will not be an exact replication of the ultrasound, but will emphasize the baby. If our design team reviews your photo and finds it too blurry, dark, or if your text instructions are unclear, we will reach out to you immediately before starting the etching process.
