Meticulously Hand-Stitched
We do not use industrial sewing machines or cheap nylon threads that fray. The Martin Wallet is stitched entirely by hand using the traditional saddle-stitch method.
- The Process: Every single stitch hole is manually pierced with a pricking iron, then sewn using two needles and a single continuous piece of heavy-duty, waxed thread.
- The Longevity: If a machine stitch breaks, the entire seam unravels. A hand-saddle stitch locks each stitch individually. If a thread ever breaks, the rest stay firmly bound. This wallet will never see a landfill because of a busted seam.
The Premium Vegetable-Tanned Process
Our leather is made using the oldest, most premium method in the world, representing less than 10% of all leather produced today.
- No Harsh Chemicals: The raw hides are cured slowly over two months in natural vats containing organic tree bark and plant extracts. No synthetic toxins are ever used.
- True Heirloom Strength: This traditional method preserves the natural strength of the leather fibers so it will never crack or peel over time.
- The Golden Patina: Because this heritage leather is finished with natural oils and waxes, it is a living material.
