Heirloom Style-Hand shadow Embroidered Duck-Gingham Baby Bonnet
$35.00
Description
Using a vintage style pattern designed by Jeanie Baumeister and heirloom type fabric I made this really cute duck bonnet. The fabrics are gingham check blue and white and white Imperial Batiste. I handcrafted two pipings using the solid white and the gingham check. The duck is my design and I shadow embroidered him. There are two daisies stems and leaves on either side of the duck, and near the back of the brim I hand embroidered the blue feather stitching. The very back of the brim is the piping of gingham check. The back of the hat is a circle edged in white piping and the cap is gathered and sewn to it. The inside is fully lined. Buttons decorate the bonnet and hold the brim, and it has a strap to button to the other side. It comes in two sizes. Newborn and 6-12 months. I have both sizes in stock.

About Sugar Bug Baby Boutique Two
Hi. My name is Jeanette. I learned to sew by hand, even making my own doll dress patterns. By the time I turned 8 years old I was allowed to sew on the sewing machine. I also do hand embroidery, smocking, heirloom and French hand sewing. My husband and I moved to a farm in Oregon and raised two sons and many farm animals. I owned and operated a grooming shop for 25 years. But my love has always been sewing and needlework. I generally sew most days a week. I really enjoy sewing for babies, toddlers and girls up to size 6.Â
