Using a vintage pattern, I made this sweet baby ducky gown. It has hand embroidery. French sewing, and a lot of love. Entredeux on the neckline, shoulder seams, sleeves and hem. Pretty lace edging on the neckline, sleeves and hem. Sleeves have French lace shaping. Pearly buttons and handmade buttonholes. Fabric used is Imperial Batiste. The gown is $40. The optional hand embroidered diaper cover sells for$25.00 but if you buy it with the gown, the set costs $60.00

About Sugar Bug Baby Boutique Two

Hi. My name is Jeanette. I learned to sew by hand, even making my own doll dress patterns. By the time I turned 8 years old I was allowed to sew on the sewing machine. I also do hand embroidery, smocking, heirloom and French hand sewing. My husband and I moved to a farm in Oregon and raised two sons and many farm animals. I owned and operated a grooming shop for 25 years. But my love has always been sewing and needlework. I generally sew most days a week. I really enjoy sewing for babies, toddlers and girls up to size 6.
