Tis vintage style bonnet is hardly seen anymore and it is such a sweet bonnet. The pattern is from Jeannie Baumeister. The fabric is rosy pink Imperial batiste. The white lace is ruffly and French. The pink ribbons have a wavy edge. two vintage buttons are on the sides with a bullion rose bud and leaves embroidered into it. Three bullion roses and green leaves have been embroidered into it. The smocking was done by hand. The baby is AI to give you some idea of fit. The smocking and details should be looked at on my photos of the actual bonnet. AI doesn’t always get it correct. The bonnet in stock is size newborn but it stretches. You can make it smaller or larger by adjusting the ribbons at the back of the bonnet. You order a size bigger that fits up to 16 lbs. or more.

About Sugar Bug Baby Boutique Two
Hi. My name is Jeanette. I learned to sew by hand, even making my own doll dress patterns. By the time I turned 8 years old I was allowed to sew on the sewing machine. I also do hand embroidery, smocking, heirloom and French hand sewing. My husband and I moved to a farm in Oregon and raised two sons and many farm animals. I owned and operated a grooming shop for 25 years. But my love has always been sewing and needlework. I generally sew most days a week. I really enjoy sewing for babies, toddlers and girls up to size 6.
