Description

This baby day gown is made of lemon-yellow Imperial batiste cotton fabric. The collar and sleeves are satin batiste cotton fabric. the white Peter Pan collar is hand embroidered in the front and the back with flowers, leaves and vines. the edge of the collar has Entredeux and Swiss lace sewn on with the French hand sewing method. the side seams are machine French seams. the front has Entreduex and Swiss lace edging from the top to the hem on the side that crosses over. And hand embroidered flowers, leaves and vine decorate the front of the baby gown. I have hand sewn snaps on the inside and covered  with real Mother of Pearl buttons on the outside.

About Sugar Bug Baby Boutique

Hi. My name is Jeanette. I learned to sew by hand, even making my own doll dress patterns. By the time I turned 8 years old I was allowed to sew on the sewing machine. I also do hand embroidery, smocking, heirloom and French hand sewing. My husband and I moved to a farm in Oregon and raised two sons and many farm animals. I owned and operated a grooming shop for 25 years. But my love has always been sewing and needlework. I generally sew most days a week. I really enjoy sewing for babies, toddlers and girls up to size 6.
