Description

This black locust wooden bowl is hand-made, and one of a kind. The dimensions are about 5 1/2″ x 2 1/4″

This “Brenda” bowl is made from a black locust tree from a friend’s back yard. They were removing it for some reason and they were kind enough to give me the wood to make something nice out of. Since then, I’ve made several bowls around the same size, plus a lamp base. I still have some of this wood left to make this size and smaller bowls.

As this bowl was turned green, it will warp a little.

About RoadRunner Woodcraft

I make things from wood that I find. With very few exceptions, the wood I use comes from trees that fell during a storm in my area of Vancouver, WA. Occasionally, I’ll acquire logs from someone’s yard from a tree the homeowner needed to be removed for some reason.

The shape of my bowls are named after women. Since I don’t follow a template, all bowls are going to be a little bit different from another by the same name. The size will vary depending on the wood I’m using at the time.

I like to make bowls, spoons, spatulas, knives, and whatever else tickles my fancy.
